Borhan Uddin Khan is a Lecturer in the Department of Textile Engineering at International Standard University (ISU), where he is engaged in teaching, curriculum development, and applied research in the field of textile and materials science. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering with a specialization in Apparel Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX), graduating with distinction. Currently, he is pursuing into Master of Science in Textile Engineering at Butex. Mr. Borhan also completed his industrial internship at Masco Group, where he gained hands-on experience in the textile manufacturing industry. Alongside his strong academic background, he has actively participated in conducting different research projects and led research teams. His research focuses on materials science and wearable technology. He has been exploring a range of conductive materials to understand their potential in advancing wearable sensors, while also focusing on sustainable design approaches that make these innovations more responsible and future-ready. His
publications cover areas of circularity, smart textiles, and biomaterials. Mr. Borhan has experience working with advanced textile testing and apparel technology, which enables him to incorporate technological advancements in teaching. During his undergraduate days, he was also engaged in co-curricular activities, including Vice President (research) at Butex Science Club and Chief of Research at Butex Apparel Club. Drawing on a
strong background in textile engineering, enriched by hands-on industry experience and extensive research exposure, Mr. Borhan Uddin Khan is well-equipped to deliver high-quality, modern education to his students. By thoughtfully combining theoretical concepts with practical application and research-driven innovation, he is dedicated to elevating textile education standards and fostering sustainable practices across the industry.
